Real Options Analysis for Strategic Decisions at a Small Café
Using six months of real sales data from a small café in Gapyeong, this study compares a traditional NPV valuation with a real options analysis of converting the café into a restaurant, and uses Monte Carlo simulation to estimate how long the business can keep operating.

Time-Series Analysis of Periodically Expressed Genes in the Yeast Cell Cycle
Using public microarray data for about 8,000 yeast genes, this study applies the Fast Fourier Transform to find genes whose expression rises and falls with the cell cycle, then follows up with statistical re-verification and predictive modeling.

Physical Validity of the Mesh Current Method
An independent study showing that the mesh current method, a standard technique for analyzing planar circuits, follows directly from charge and energy conservation, verified on two- and three-mesh circuits with three independent methods.

Designing a Small Conversational Language Model with U.S. College-Admissions Data
A study of how Transformer-based language models work, applied to designing the architecture of a small conversational model built on U.S. college-admissions data. Work on diffusion-based language models is in progress.
